You said it, brother... time does seem to be flying. I think I played Hourai High back in 2014? That feels like another lifetime ago! But yes, thank you so much for the kind words, Dei Su. I truly did pour my heart and soul into this review and honestly, I would probably rank it as one of the top 10 best reviews I ever wrote. I just have fond memories spending the better part of two weeks working on this review... and that's not counting the 2-3 weeks I spent beating the game. I love the high school stories I shared in this one, and whenever I read through this one again I am instantly flooded with fond memories.

Fun aside, that high school crush of mine, Judy, (which I wrote about in the review), I happened to run into her at a Little Caesar's in January of 2020. We hadn't seen each other in nearly 20 years! She has two kids now, and actually married her high school boyfriend. A rarity indeed. But no regrets, it all worked out as I got married just 2 weeks ago myself to a wonderful and loving woman. Life is good! It's crazy how things play out. Anyway, you got me feeling incredibly nostalgic on this early Saturday morning... I did not expect to see someone comment on an obscure Hourai High review, ha! Thanks bro for the trip down memory lane.

Be well!

Man Steve, you really poured your heart out on this one! Thanks for the intimate read, I completely agree with you regarding this game and I enjoyed seeing some of your personal history shine through. :) One of my favorite obscure titles that I played through back in 2017.
Heh, thanks StarBoy! It's one of my personal favorites too; I had a lot of fun putting this review together. It was nice to reminisce a bit about my old high school days as well. I hope you can find this game for cheap. If you Google "SNES repros" you will find some sites selling Hourai High for under $50.

Glad you appreciated the two '80s John Hughes movie references :)

One of my favorite reviews of yours (even on the old site), RVGSteve! =) The more I read (and think about) it the more I want to play it because it sounds like a crazy fun time (and hearing of the jobs system in it is cool 'cause I love Final Fantasy V--most people prefer IV or VI but I like V the most, but that's just me) and it sounds humorous (in fact many of the in-game quotes were humorous). XD Every now and then I check on eBay to see if there's a repro cart of Hourai High but sadly from what I noticed it's not common (and when it does show up it's expensive). =( I have been meaning to get another SNES repro cart for awhile anyway (I only have four at the moment) but lately I strictly focused on SFC purchases. I love this review!

Also, two '80s John Hughes movie references for the price of one review? Awesome! =D

Keep up the great work!
