Thanks for the compliment and glad you got to buy Spark World in Japan for just $3! That’s a great deal. I got my copy for $14.95 back on June 19, 2006, lol. I personally prefer Otoboke Ninja Colosseum, but I know what you mean by the way “it feels.” But I like Otoboke’s attacking system because it adds a slight twist to the old Bomberman formula. But both are really fun games, especially if you can get 4-player battles going.

It’s funny you mention that I should “keep up the reviews on rare, unheard of games” because my latest review is on an obscure Super Famicom game. Hopefully it’ll get published by tomorrow. Stay tuned :)

Thanks so much for covering it, I LOVE it.

I also tried out Otoboke to Spark World, and although it cost me a lot more (maybe $35), we just don’t like it as much. Just the way it feels I guess.

I love writing about obscure games and spreading the word on them. Spark World as you said definitely does some neat things to help differentiate it a bit from Bomberman. Have you by chance tried Otoboke Ninja Colosseum? It’s another quality Bomberman clone on the Super Famicom that is worth checking out. I actually prefer Otoboke to Spark World, although I’m fond of the latter as well :)

I really feel that Spark World, while borrowing a lot from Bomberman, does indeed have a very palpable flair of originality in it! I also ADORE the characters in this game, especially the boss of the Desert World, Colonel Flare!
