Ah you're welcome, StarBoy. I love spreading the word on these lesser known games -- glad to have introduced you to Mickey Tokyo Disneyland. It's definitely a solid game. I love what GRC did with the colors... the scheme they used is very gorgeous. I've never seen brown look so good in a 16-bit video game before. It's funny MTD was your second SFC game you imported. For me, MTD was the game I acquired that made me feel it was time to share my obscure SFC impressions. I wanted to lock down this game before writing about it because I didn't want to increase my competition of buyers for it :) Once I found a complete copy in 2006, all systems were go for my obscure SFC topic. And that topic eventually led to, of course, the birth of RVGFanatic. So I always look at MTD with a real deep fondness, heh.

Ah, my second Super Famicart that I imported from Japan back in 2012 (after Alcahest) after I got a Retro Duo (my first way of accessing SFC carts, now I use the Super Famicom circa Christmas 2015) =) I wouldn't have known about this game had I not found out about it from your site many years ago, RVGSteve

GRC's take on Mickey is well-made and good on its own terms; I loved the water balloon system (flawed controls aside, they can be worked around), each area is full of awe and wonder (particularly Tomorrowland, oh that beautiful surreal music), it's very charming throughout, it's got in my opinion the best version of the final boss Pete in any Mickey Mouse platformer (mainly on account of the setup and homage to a certain underrated Disney flick), there's plenty of challenge here and there (take THAT, Mickey Mania/Mickey's Wild Adventure), and while it could be frustrating sometimes fortunately it is largely fun and enjoyable while it lasts! =D

It would also pave the way for the spiritual sequel (sort-of, technically, unsure) Tokyo Disneyland: Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour on the Game Boy (also by GRC) which I got to play a couple years ago which utilized this game's balloon controls albeit in a more simplified manner (and was easier) due the small screen space. It's good but I liked the spiritual SFC predecessor slightly more =)

It was nice and fun to read this review once more
