I don't think you'll be too disappointed with Blackthorne, especially seeing as how you enjoyed similar titles. It's definitely one of my "unsung" favorites. It does get a bit repetitive if you play it on for a bit, but it's one of those games I love firing up for 20-30 minutes every so often. I don't need to beat the game to be satisfied necessarily... just blasting goblins to Kingdom Come for a bit here and there always does the trick!

Good review, RVGSteve =)

I've oft been curious about this game and Flashback (given that I personally enjoyed similar titles such as Prince of Persia on the SNES--near perfection in my book--and Out of this World... actually, it's been awhile since I've gone far and played through the latter, but that's besides the point), but I haven't really gotten around to getting my own copy of each title--being a collector who's curious about many titles from the Nintendo 16-bit generation but has an occasional tendency to be a tad indecisive on which title to go for is HARD ( =( ); but reading your review it makes me want to play it, sounds like a good time. =)
